This is a countdown to graduation, for those who are graduating soon! A reminder to celebrate everything you have done to reach this milestone and remembering everyone that helped you get there. Graduation can be filled with so many different emotions. There is excitement for the journey ahead and maybe a bittersweet feeling of leaving behind what was normal and routine. There can be a loss of identity but also a creation of a new one, as the days near remember to be present because this is your moment!
Give Gratitude to Professors 💐
Many of you have been impacted by the incredible professors you have had along your academic journey. Be sure to recognize your professors and the work they have done that inspired you. Write a small card, buy a small gift or simply express your appreciation in a conversation. Make sure they know just how much they mean to you.
Connecting with Alumni 🫂
From connecting on LinkedIn to connecting in real life. Be sure to stay in contact with alumni and reach out to alumni in industries you aspire to break into, you never know what could happen. Networking is not always about connecting with the recruiters and CEO but also the amazing peers and colleagues that surround you.
Capture your lasts 📸
As a senior it is easy to feel overwhelmed. There is so much to do and so little time. But as you reach the end of this journey don’t forget to capture the moments along the way. Take pictures, write about important moments in journals and take time with friends and family before your big day!
Celebrate Your accomplishments👏🏽
Remember the work you have done in all your time at university. From passing your classes and being on leadership boards to completing internships, and applying to jobs. Over your past three or four years you have done a lot. Be proud of that and celebrate the wins!
Dream Big 💫
Remember that this is not the end but rather a beginning of a new chapter. Remember to be bold and dream big! The future is bright and everyone is rooting for you.
